Obviously unless your particulary fit you will be wanting some kind of transport around NZ! Even though New Zealand has a relatively small population you should still find it fairly easy to get around due to the extensive tourist transport networks which have been put in place. Coach and bus travel have the most extensive networks with train and railway being the poorest. Recently Air New Zealand has slashed its internal flight prices and so flying between destinations is now a viable option.
